Founder and CEO
Miriam, the Founder and CEO of Discover ME Travel was born in Africa but migrated to the U.S where she settled with her family in an African American community in the East Coast. Growing up in an African American community as a Historian and a Political Scientist, she realized that there was a piece missing for the people of African American descent. She describes it as a piece best explained by the author James Baldwin that “to be African American is to be American without privilege and African without Memory”. The memory piece is what led to the birthing of this project to allow every person of African American descent desiring to see their land of origin be able to travel to Africa.
